making bread and butter

October 2, 2010

people have been asking me, ‘where have you been? what have you been doing? are you still working?’  yes indeed, i am still making the dough.  and with due dates being so close, i am now beginning to feel quite tired and a little stressed out.  it’s nothing to worry about really.  i read in a book that tiredness, anxiety and depression are all much more common in the last month of pregnancy than they are postpartum.  at first i thought this was crazy. now i understand completely.  i think there are only a few people in my life right now that understand what strain even a simple request can have on a pregnant woman ready to pop!  thankfully, the amazing d is one of them… aahhh… what would i do without him? really.

so, that being said, i was unable to go to my cousin’s wedding the other weekend.  and opted instead to host my family so they wouldn’t need to get a hotel room.  and, i volunteered to make bread and butter for the wedding.  once again, bringing home the dough.

i gave my camera to my brother, the other half of the mile-high couple.  such sweetness to be in the kitchen with newlyweds.  you can see how much they are in love.  in spite of all that is going on, i thought i would take a moment to share his photos with you, which i have edited.  and perhaps it will be a welcome break from all that chaos we call life… this is fun stuff. enjoy.
