sorry…
people have been asking. the truth is that adelaide no longer has one mode of transportation. she is, indeed, very slowly, learning to walk. she can actually make her way to any point in the room, completely without assistance. but, that’s hard to film, because adelaide is a camera hog. and whenever she sees the video camera or my photo camera, she immediately stops whatever she is doing and makes furious crawling straight towards the lens. so, d set up his video camera near the front door and coaxed her over. here is a short video of some of those tentative steps.
as an update, i would like to mention that she has begun to take things more slowly, doesn’t stumble so much and really thinks about changes in texture under foot – ie wood to rug, and how to negotiate those changes. also, i apologize for the messy room. it’s not really how i would like to present myself… or the world we live in…
it’s really quite miraculous. i was looking back at video of adelaide just a few months ago. she was not able to crawl yet, but was so determined to try. and now, she’s scooting around the room at record speed. she’s so amazing. i am so thankful for these little miracles.
She is MOTORING!!!!
She is really walking and – dancing! We can clearly see the pearly whites when she plays peek-a-boo! Looks like she loves music, too. I love her sweet dress!
